In conjunction with Friday for the Arts!, St. Paul's Episcopal Church presents a Concert by Candlelight themed Love is a Many Splendored Thing for the February celebration. The program will consist of popular and classical love songs for Saint Valentine's Day. Performances will be given by Dr. Renee Huff, soprano; Gavin Honeycutt, tenor; and Sidney Long, piano.
The concert will be held on Friday, February 10 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of historic St. Paul's Episcopal Church located at 110 North Union Street in Petersburg.
A freewill offering will be taken during the instrumental offertory. A portion (twenty-five percent) will go to the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Society. Performer Gavin Honeycutt's sister has the neurological degenerative condition commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. The remainder benefits the Joseph A.Whittle Music & Arts Fund.
